New paintings up in the yard...

Over the road from HQ we have slowly adopted a few large but neglected walls - They needed a little love, but after a tickle with a paint brush and a splash of colour - They are good to go!

Umbro x Monorex - The new fabric of England

Umbro recently challenged Monorex, and asked if we could paint the new pattern on large sides of buildings... But the cool part to the project was that these were not any old buildings, these were actually 4 historic youth football clubs that had produced past and present England players.

Each selected club was also given a generous donation by Umbro for getting involved and they received a huge boost in press and publicity from naturally being attached to the international kit launch.

Suzuki x Monorex - Live show at Westfield London

Monorex were commissioned to paint live at Westfields last month, but this was no normal commission... As Suzuki made advertising history, being the first brand to film, timelapse, live edit and transmit the pictures live to all major railway stations across London..

We are hosting a Secret Wars on the outside windows and we will be celebrating the NEW Monorex commission downstairs - Stika and Tan 1 are painting to a NEON WILDSTYLE brief, so being that these boys are letter specialist, we are in for a real visual treat!

Below is a little feature special we have been working on for quite some time..A collbo between GSD X VIBE & SECRET WARS!

SECRET WARS LONDON FINAL - TIMELAPSE VIDEO!

Hicks is the new London champion!

Wow - still shocked and hungover from an amazing night...over 1200 came through the door with a one in one out all night!! Thanks for all those who came down and had the patience to chill outside.

This Secret Wars was probably the best so far - everything went perfectly and the venue was a huge step up from Cafe 1001. A very proud moment seeing how far Secret Wars has come in just over 2 years....The USA is next!

With Reeps favourite to win, Hicks came in feeling little pressure - Both guys had a plan and both were well prepared for an intense and exciting SW battle.

The crowd was electric and the atmosphere at times was tense...The battle finally kicked off around 10:30pm and people stood in awe as the guys got to work on the large white walls (12ft wide by 8ft high).

All night DJ Session kept the crowd rocking with a stack of classic tunes, with the crowd screaming with every mix.

When the time came to get the judges on stage, the tension began to mount and I found it hard to get anywhere the stage. First up to judge came Ligaya (Victoria & Albert Museum) who decide to give her vote to Hicks, then Reeps came fighting back with a massive decibel smashing crowd vote 1-1....It came down to the final judge - Brett from MTV / 1/10, after much thought and pacing on stage he finally pulled out his edding board marker and scribbled Hicks on his white board!!

We have a new and very worthy champion....Hicks (54 crew)

Thanks to all those who came down and supported and a huge thanks to the entire team on the night and edding markers for linking us up as usual.

Secret Wars (London) - Reeps beats Jeba!

Another huge weekend for us boys @ Monorex / Secret Wars HQ - Not only did we have to set up and drop a huge battle @ the V&A, but a day after on the Saturday we went straight to Juno for the London series duel between Reeps 1 and Jeba.....

These two are the youngest participants in this years competition, but that does not make a slight difference as they both ooze in raw artistic talent. It was always going to be a close draw as Reeps is a crowd favourite due to his multi talented skills (beatboxing, chess and graff), while Jeba has really stepped up this year and evolved into a promising young battle artist....These guys both know how to battle!

As usual the Juno bar was rammed with people eager to see the next installment of Secret Wars, we had a little change up on the soundsystem with Session being replaced by Henry Rumour and Jimi Crayon replacing Reeps as the host.

SECRET WARS X V&A - ALL STAR BATTLE !!

Last Friday we were invited by the V&A to host a Secret Wars battle / exhibition explaining the journey and evolution of this exciting and very unique concept.

This show was to run alongside the V&A "Fashion V Sport" (www.vam.ac.uk/fashionvsport).

Below are some images of the two days it took to set-up and the messy action packed party that followed...

The battle featured two teams - Jimi Crayon & Mr K vs. Teck 1 & Inkie

They went head to head for 90 mins and the eventual winner was decided by the crowd - who chose the right side of the wall (Inkie & Teck)...Congrats guys! you boys smashed it up with your casino inspired piece.

Secret Wars London Report - MR K vs. SUMIT SARKAR

On Saturday Mr.K beat Sumit Sarkar for a place in the Quarter Finals against Stika - A tight battle where again both judges were split on a decision.

Secret Wars London - Series 3 Report - Stika beats Jimi Crayon..

At last Secret Wars London is back.....After 4 months travelling the World and battling tribes from many cultures, the Secret Wars team is back home @ Juno!

Wary of whether we would still pull a crowd - our nerves were put to rest around 9pm when the bar packed out in usual SW fashion....With Jimi and Stika revved to go, we got Reeps on the mic to do the 10 sec countdown.....

The atmosphere was electric and Stika had an army of fans scattered within the crowd! Jimi created a Sika kebab while Stika did a "Not to do list".....Two very different styles that got everyone talking!

After much hype and talk the judges and crowd spoke - The first judge (Nash Money) went for Jimi, and then the crowd controversially went for Stika.....So 1-1 with just one more judge to vote (Bayo, owner of Juno Bar) - He went Stika! With a small section of boo's and the Stika crowd celebrating the first Secret Wars battle was complete....
